NHS West Sussex PCT and CCG
Strategy, workshop engagement, graphic design, website design and development, project management.
The NHS Coastal West Sussex Clinical Commissioning Group is a statutory NHS body led by doctors and health professionals, responsible for the planning and commissioning of health care services in West Sussex, and covering nearly half a million people.
Coastal West Sussex PCT required a new design and structure for both the external website and for their intranet in order to meet the needs of their audiences and create a more efficient working platform for internal management.
This would require us to develop a graphic identity that encapsulated CWS localities and bring this across into the web design.
We pitched our services in collaboration with Surface Impression, winning the tender against several agencies in 2009.
As part of the scoping stage of the project and to inform the brief, we held several strategic workshops with key staff to ascertain the needs of the organisation and establish the foundations of the project.
From these workshops we developed the content audit and the wireframes before designing the graphics, ensuring that all elements were in place to meet Coastal West Sussex’s strategic objectives.
We designed and developed both the public facing and intranet sites to be as intuitive as possible, ensuring that users were able to achieve their objectives as efficiently as possible.
Throughout the project, we worked closely with the NHS web development team to ensure integral scheduling and management.
After the election in 2010, and with the PCT turning into the CCG in West Sussex, we were tasked with repositioning the offer with further workshops and then rebranding the CCG, redesigning and building the website and project managing the process through to and beyond launch.
